Tool free 1888. By fifty to 550 Donald had to be with he would have a good weekend I trust. It was a it was a cool weekend and I'd give back home and out and the name for a couple didn't and so happy that it evident today was that we did that evident today. Spent the next day to Mecca in the car got to put there yet it was good rented to a couple of people actually a lot of people dollar was coming out about went to cause a couple basketball games and people actually show I always think you were doing a radio show but different people to only cut amnesty much amnesty. And certain you know people like bubble they must be busy during the course today they have an office yes exactly guys who have and a profits people. Home from lunch somebody told media watch at a ridiculous you know Portland is enemies. I don't do radio and I think world where TV big deal with people actually watch the show me he said an intimate room. The current count point oh yeah absolutely. Absolutely. So we're happy to have you in the audience wherever you are we are kind of coming down here after last Friday which was it. A big day huge date positive vibes all over the place really cute show with Sean McDermott Terry ghoulish and Ron Rivera. Of course we had the coverage of the news conferences so McDermott's news conference and I think most of us meeting especially go walked out here Friday. With a pretty good feeling after all the upheaval coming now over the last three weeks or so I think John McDermott had a really good tone for what's to come with the schools and. Did you know that press conference I think he he did a good job at the press conference in. Just letting everybody know this is this is what the deal is this is how. My philosophies is how I wanna go about things. It doesn't matter what people think on the outside just like Doug has that thought process it doesn't matter what people pick and outside this is how I'm gonna go about it. And we're gonna start to state from the ground up and see how ghost. You know eighties very low key obviously very yet determined bites guys seem we hadn't studio and got a chance to talk to them but. Com it was he's a lot different than his predecessor think that goes without saying in terms of he said I'm not make any promises here. We didn't talk much about his plans for. Quarterbacks. Coaching staff anything like that they've courts have if fleshed out coaching staff a little bit we'll talk about that in a minute but. Sean McDermott it seemed gonna play things fairly close to the best in these especially in these first few days here. You know I think it's it's it's good for him to do that you know I think is good for him to do that move forward I think in any business is good at keeping schools for the best and I don't think you should let things out there. Especially from that the coaches in the staff in your plans on what you wanna do moving forward as a coach. Because when you do that you know there's 31 other teams out there that and they're paying attention you know might seem it might not seem like that because they have their own things that they're doing but. They pay attention just like we do we pay attention to what other teams are going around the league in the same way you know and if he lets things out disciple you know what I didn't think that a guy maybe we should go in TriBeCa. While they're in the process of putting together the coaching staff and we don't have a whole lot of updates will go through the weekend what Ono the weekend with Cuba. We know the bills are in the market for an offensive coordinator a couple of names linked to them regardless of the names regardless of the guy they settle on. That is really the topic of our Twitter poll what kind of an offensive coordinator would you like and most importantly what's priority one what's job one. For the appeals new offensive coordinator that's our portable what's the first thing. The bill's new offensive coordinator should be concerned with about 350 votes and so far overwhelmingly 71% say quarterback development. 18% say ballots in the offense finding some ballots in the bill strong run offense and very weak pass offense. 8% say maintain what to do and in the ground game which is the number one in the NFL for a couple of weeks 3% say something else what is the first thing. The bill's new offensive coordinator should be concerned with give us a college. Let us know what you think 8030550. The number outside buffalo tool free at 1888550. To 550 or by Twitter at John Murphy show we like we deliberately left it as quarterback development as opposed to. You know work with Tyrod Taylor or work with some other quarterback. For the simple reason battle bit we don't know at least I don't know which way to go right on quarterbacks. You know trying to read some tea leaves in the Whitman leader Reid last Friday it Sean McDermott's news conference. You know yes Tyrod was here yes McDermott said he talked with Tyrod Taylor but. This Tyrod Taylor the guy moving forward we don't know so that's part I think that that's why we left it like quarterback development whether it's Tyrod Taylor. Or his successor quarterback many of you 71% do you think that is and the number one job and I cannot disagree with that. I think it should be both Tyrod Taylor and his successor yeah of the rhetoric and develop both problem. You know we talked about this week. Both like the seats aren't so it's still on this roster I think. You know right now he would give us the best chance to win games them he knows this offense well that's going to be a new offense but he knows the guys on the team. And he's a big part of that rushing game you know and I think if you switch quarterbacks. That pressing game is gonna suffer you know you wanna be more balance yeah I did that play in. Tyrod Taylor I think is a guy that you need to have in place why is developing somebody else and so for me you need to spend a lot of time developing. You know Tyrod Taylor and the next person in line so I had to go with you know the majority on the 71% and say that they need to develop the quarterback because they don't. Happen part of the options we one of the options we offered was a fine balance in the offense and I think that those. Part and parcel with the developing the quarterback the reason why they were so. Kind of one handed offensively running game was the fact that they couldn't get much done in the passing game a lot of it had to do with the quarterback Tyrod Taylor. Much of that I believe had to do with his options at wide receiver and and in fact I might even say as more of receivers that it did with the the quarterbacks limitations himself and yet receiving corps and with the uncertainty at receiver the fact that there are several free agents there are guys who were going to be look a contract that might be the other that the new office of coordinators who can. So you have other Pasadena receiving corps I think that's something that they're going to be looking at here free agency. And you know through the draft you know they're gonna have to did some he did have to draft well at receiver. And they have to do you know one. At least one quality veteran free agent in here. Two to really help whom these young guys because there's it's gonna be young receiving core I don't know who's going to be here next year aside from Sammy. Who else is going to be on the roster we don't know you know so it's probably going to be a group of young guys you need a veteran and it really gloom all of those guys along with any luck. So what do you think what's the first thing to bill's new offensive coordinator should be concerned with. You can ring us up let us know 8030550. Told free from. Outside buffalo told recall at 1888552. By fifty you can net dialogue with us by Twitter a couple of tweets on this. Bob Tim Tim checked says. Other bills. A new office coordinator should be concerned with something else he says the big picture goes beyond quarterback and run game needs to establish an atmosphere and expectations. I don't know that's kinda nebulous thing you know establish an atmosphere and expectations among I don't think did any trouble establishing. I don't know how to an atmosphere or expectations over the season and often so I mean I guess that would amount author and later we DO. The often things I don't know what I've about cost about a which mean expectations and I think this this team was okay offensively as far as what the expectations are and what the atmosphere was I think if if you would sit days would've said that about the buffalo defense in 2016 I would say you're probably right of the defense that atmosphere the expectation level I think was too low and and it showed in terms of their production on offense I don't know. Did this often outperform expectations that you had no that is these days so us I mean scoring launcher right union you are tops in scoring. Offense Buhner and number one lead in addressing obviously you need. A lot of improvement in the passing game and I think they did outperform expectations especially with so many injuries at wide receiver. To still be a top ten in scoring offense than me. They outperform their expectations. Think and they had an identity they knew they wanted to run the ball especially once. Once and Neiman became the office the coordinator he knew what he wanted to do. And they did it everything we. What do you think about the the first priority for the bills next offensive coordinator large importance tweets in trading for AJ McCarron OK. And yet. Nick Jasper tweet to looks like Olsen will be the new office coordinator not sure about that concern with a higher. He is not to say I think if Steele run game coordinator scared off Childress. You know reports out there that Childress is out of the equation now we don't know that's true but he was reported over the weekend Brad Childress a former. Vikings head coach was in the mix along with former Jacksonville office coordinator Greg Olsen. Who was let go by the jaguars at the end of October. Neither one of them have been hired bearers reports on either. So we'll see see how it plays out as far as what an office coordinator to beat cancer which her agent tweets and winning whatever it takes that's Kennedy. The simple and maybe best answer. Let's just think 8030550. Tool free 1888. By 52 by fifty dug in buffalo dug your first up go ahead. January 3 down hole area and I was wondering. He sort of uncertain they are supporters chain. Do we have to keep looking at the same. You know it's like a revolving door with that the coach. Is there somewhere maybe McDermott also outside the I don't know it's Howard defensive coordinator. You more bitter approach as to deal opening up the offense more and being governor. Course advantage at all and inspectors what what do you think the prospects would be. (%expletive) Kelly and what grounds did think they can get and in. And do you think that they did would eat too much pressure on him impossible. Even though we did a Google mentoring and so I'd like that you're just think I know is not on the field antics. Might hit something do it but you think we can get him in the third. I'll round. You did you a lot of in the third exit question dug a couple of things and Chip Kelly the start that Donald I've talked him a couple of times and even over the last weekend there were a couple of different. Observations and it came across and that Chip Kelly just look them up come one I mean one draft expert we've got to on the show meant Miller's weeded out. Yesterday yes he's a Chet Kelly is a mess. Knee injury and off field is really poor wouldn't be surprised if he is undrafted in and other people who said he is the late round picks so I don't know what you get difference of the differences of opinion when it comes to. The Chip Kelly Donald and yet pressure is part of it at least in terms of the awful party court. For me I don't think he should come here you know just for his personal development. As a professional and as a quarterback in this league. I think it's best and I think is best for any player to be away from home you know when you're when you're going into any professional sport. And that just has a lot to do with justice. You know when you look at tech Phillies past coming out. From here now on the trouble that he's been in here things that he's gone through a Clemson and have a transfer it to collagen and transfer to Ole miss it's just for different reasons he's been in trouble a couple of different times I don't think it's Smart. For. I just don't think it would be best for him to be here in buffalo at home. You know making some money now -- I just don't I don't like that for him personally as a player I'd rather him be somewhere far from here and just grow he needs to be. You know somewhere like. In the middle of nowhere suspect that at where he can do is grow as a quarterback I think you would be better for him. As far as where he where. He'll be trapped amid he has a big arm you know we see them make a lot of the rose he had some some very Dube was receivers down there at Ole miss I mean he utilizes it well. And I think he can do the same thing in the NFL. The injuries are going to be concern for any of these teams he has to get their stuff together defected he's not going to. You know I think play in the senior voicing. The fact that he's not going to play in the Senior Bowl. He probably won't do anything at the combo line that's gonna hurt his draft stock right there along with everything else so. Do I think he'll end up going in the third to answer your question I don't think so I think he's gonna belated and that's the anywhere from you know fourth even fifth to seventh round and being that. If he's drafted something moving you'll be drafted. First priority for the bill's new offensive coordinator what are you thinking 8030550. Your tool free 1888550. To 550 here is that. And Rick in New Jersey go ahead and you're on the air. A year it down or. I'll. I think almost the opposite coordinator in the quote. Epic and our quarterback on or whether. Keep in our what art I don't. Brian Hoyer Mina. Whatever it is. That's number one RRT don't or. An app that I'd want Clinton and I think that being in college. I'm I'm the people and possible. What are goal and rebuild this team. And I like to hear that you and the way we need to go look this thing up and starts here. Don't think these prayer. For guys like our guys like even apparently does come back to being an outcome in back. Under injury that talent on this. Act and where. You don't really aren't your goal for twenty years so you know when he. Period back urging. A lot like you know what I'm running back position. I don't think federal rebuilt is a week ago you know maybe you have a bridge. What a competitive skiing you know. Where. Forgot we go Tyrod. And what happens you know the next two years. Of quarterback. You don't I don't in the ways trying to come up you know don't feel like we got Iraq would cart now. I don't rightly know what they get out there. And permanent ban I don't know what the seventeen year. I don't look Bayer colony. Where Aaron yeah I'd better right guys where things are better. Or are at this organization not just. Yeah I hear you saying Henry and I mean. I hear to same dynamic fighter garrido although fairness doesn't usually inner into the this equation you know which is unfortunate I guess but. Look I agree to end and I don't know how battlefields but. I don't quite have the stomach for total bill you know what I mean I don't know if I have the patience for total rebuild which is I think what you're saying but I don't make that decision way to make that decision. I think gum. You know you may get that and and the signal is going to be what Evans with Tyrod Taylor right if they move out from Tyrod Taylor and they are. Probably in pretty much you know rebuild mode and the indications are based on what happened for the yep finale against the jets that they may be leaning towards a moving up from Tyrod Taylor and it's not official yet but that you if you're reading into it that would be my read into it from policy. It is I think question number one that the offensive coordinator would ask him. You know that and maybe that's. Maybe that could be what the delays and is not a long delay but it's a couple of days now without an OC maybe that's what the delay there. Looking for a coordinator who shares their vision of where the roster is and how close they might be held anything to add to that. You know I personally feel like. This thing even if you keep tyrants have on this on the roster. I feel like it's it's rebuilt them not putts holed rebuild innocence overblown this whole thing up and we're starting from from ground zero. I think even if you keep him when you look on the defense the ball we had so many guys with one your contacts you have guys like Stephon is probably. You know I would think unless they decide they want to pay him thirteen of fifteen million he's probably not going to be back we don't know what's gonna happen. With air whimsy talking about Corey Graham was up the year he's going to be considering retiring I'm sure. I'm proud you don't know if he's gonna come back I'm sure he's probably right now going back and forth in his head that he wants to retire. That's a lot of a lot of veterans back the you don't know what's going moan especially on the defense out of the ball a side of the ball that. Was the issue this year you know also you did in new codes coming in he and he's a defense of money coach and he's probably gonna say listen I want to. Build my own defense. You know I understand the players that we have on the team and he's gonna make sure that it has a system that fit those players while they still here. But ultimately he's gonna wanna build his own defense and so in that sense I look at it as a rebuilt and I do think that you can get by. You know is still with with Tyrod Taylor in this offense. You can still get by that office continues to be a top two scoring offense you can have a competitive team even possibly a playoff team. But this is for me in my mind reader. What's the first thing the bills' offensive coordinator should be concerned with pets or Twitter poll that's elected talk with you about today 8030550. The number. Toll free 1888550. To 550 or you can do it by Twitter we've had a couple of comets. On Twitter about this and and we don't know what with the offense or uterus we should say that too and there have been various reports. All throughout the weekend about two games in particular Brad Childress former head coach of the Minnesota Vikings. Who has some of Philadelphia connections with Sean McDermott. He was a Childress was just the working as late as Saturday night with the Kansas City are that Sunday and confused. That was Sunday in cities and then. Just Sunday night we Kansas City as the coal office record for the chiefs. In charge of third downs etc. and whether Childress is gonna get the job or not eager conflicting reports on that today or it could be Greg Olson whom are we can tell. I don't think you're wrong about this I don't think he has any connections at all with McDermott in the past. But Greg Olsen has been an offense according in the league for a along while. And just finished up the stint back in late October he was let go is offense coordinator with the Jacksonville Jaguars after a pretty good point fifteen season. With Jacksonville Jaguars are. Are there more candidates and that we don't know aren't one of those candidates interest you let us know in 030550. Tool free. 1888552. But if the phone lines are open. Houses in this from me often the corners to coordinators that come in. They need to Tennessee have young quarterbacks missed his league is full of young quarterbacks now. You need to do a good job of developing new talent packed quarterback and that's the starter along with the backups come from me you'd have to do day and that starts with. You know obviously developing their skill set but having the white the right weapons around him you know you have to have the receivers. So I think that's you know that's top of the list developing the quarterback the putting them the right weapons around him so that he can develop. At let's circle through what's out there with a jobs have been filled and get a couple were filled by the bills over the weekend. On Friday when them late Friday when it was announced that Sean McDermott was ahead go to bill's also announced on Friday that one kiss Steele was coming out with a team as offensively coach and run game coordinator so far the only higher on the offensive side of the ball and net like ST is that point two years in the National Football League. Eighteen years as an assistant inept Philadelphia. Where there was Sean McDermott obviously. The ravens offensive line coach run game coordinator for the last couple years. Assumes he has Sima title here with the Buffalo Bills so a lot of tablet eagles' 22 years Lee what can steal was also a of those who minority coaching subtle way back when I do recall him done it to. Offered on it as a minority coaching Fella is the loan higher on the offensive side of the ball. On the defensive side of the ball this announced late Friday as well Leslie Frazier is the new defense of coordinator. Former head coach of the Minnesota Vikings were gonna talk with. We're gonna talk with Pat Williams and a couple of minutes who played endlessly preacher but a wide and varied eighteen year coaching resonate for Wesley Frazier the new defense of coordinator. And the bills also over the weekend announcing that they've hired via. A linebacker coach Bob Davidge that announcement came on Friday fourteen years in the league. Coached the San Diego Chargers linebackers last season was defense of coordinator in Jacksonville for a couple of years before that. I've beverage coming on to coach the bills' linebackers this year with experience with the bears. The jaguars and chargers we talked about in the rams' most of that time was a linebackers coach. And the defense of like coach Mike lawful. Named over the weekend to coach the bills' defense of line a native of port LD York just down the wrote a little bit nineteen years coaching in the NFL coach that really solid rams defensive line. For the list of five years went it was with the raiders the giants when they when the Super Bowl back in 2007. A couple of stints with the raiders. Mike waffle is the defense of like coach for the bills so so far you're keeping score at home the bills have one coaching position field on offense that would be offensive line. And three on defense that coordinator Leslie Frazier. Defense line coach Mike waffle and linebacker coach Bob Davidge lot of holes to fill I don't off the get up to the 27 that Rex said. Point seven assists in Milan with a lot of coaches but obviously some molten plug including offensive coordinator quarterbacks wide receiver running backs tight end. Defense of backfield and all of their assistance in the second coaches in Poland obviously more one plane that hit it. When you play battle battle that long ago you and at 27 coaches when he's seventeen coach. As a team and it's when he. Amounts outdated it wasn't. 27 that's a lot of coaches on the team yet that's a lot of different voices that it was new to this a lot yeah so. For a for here I would be anywhere from. You know fifteen it's want me is a good amount and coaches. And everybody's just has to do more work you know if if you are the the wide receiver coach and you don't have an assistant why receivers coach well desolate you have to do more work and this is how. How that works but for me it's better to have. Less is kind of like that that. You know simple as more or less is more type of thing. Just because you don't have as many voices you know have as many people saying different things. And I think that's good beneficial for the players. Let's take some calls that Felix is now eleven as popular talk show. And it thanks and I thought you know our reporters novel a priority at the fighter battered quarterback that it compliment the lighting. And realize that it's not Tyrod Taylor and I believe. My opinion that it is our receivers here murder as the older pros younger pros to reach stretched about what it's an awkward situation there's been. That's why I think that about quarter what you think about that great yeah. I Felix I gotta think about the injuries they had it wide receiver. You know CME's issue with this foot penalty could be attributed Alter. Or throwing. Robert Woodson at several different roses are inevitable deafening Henry Andrews coming. I don't know if you're there on twos in the united in Cincinnati caught that one Armitage and religious doubtful right. I can and generally had earlier in the net yeah there's no. I'm I don't guards at kilometers. Listen good what does Adam let's success of injuries his is mostly contestant Greg salas said what answering Pau and put an end Aaron I don't know I I think it's been obstruct. And look they need to be healthier wide receiver and they're gonna need some more receivers but I don't know if it's because of the style of and they often lessons aren't. So as it is his he's had some accuracy issues we know that he's here he'll throw it high he'll miss receivers who are behind wire receivers on this sometimes yeah as as a receiver you know that you know to sign up for you know. That you beta tester baucus U gonna get hit anyway that's what they tell you grown up has the ball you're gonna get him anyway so. The quarterback's not always gonna put the ball in a perfect place for you is your job to catch it you know and so. I understand you wanted to be purposely because of all around but it doesn't always happen like that Tara tell needs to work on his accuracy but at the same time I don't think that. That the injuries this year had a lot to do what does that mean he did and some guys are driving dated it Pinkus is stuff that happened. At Felix's first point the new OC as to find a veteran cornerback. But where we're gonna get that guys we've discovered I mean it's not a big revelation and over the last few years the free agent quarterbacks. You know viable options if pre recorded wrecker and at that straw. You know that's how people like power and wind appear in and you know some of the others may castle some of the others that brought through here just that way if you're. In the good quarterbacks don't line up in free agency. Maybe the good quarterbacks went up in the trade market maybe that's where Tony Romo comes free you know a guy with a along resonate I don't know if you parliament. You know I don't appear as a potential to be a good quarterback much longer in the league. You know Philip Rivers I node name is out there as he has expressed reservations about. Moving up the Los Angeles with the chargers but. It's very rare I think that a good viable quarterback becomes. Free and the trademark condemning the bills went through which Drew Bledsoe back in the early 2000 early part of the stack is rare. And it's. That's why even a guy like my voice fits this way he keeps getting jobs you know because they look at him as a keys baca the origins of the starter everywhere he goes by. Teams look at Mike Reid didn't bring this guy because there aren't that many guys coming available that are aren't good. You know also if they're good the team is not let them go or they're gonna trading did a lot in return for them so. At receiver Eminem at quarterback here you have to draft well I mean that that's really when it comes down to in this league you have to draft the quarterbacks you have to jet the right guy. And at the end of the day you don't know who you're dating. When you draft these guys they look so good and cows and when he did here. The can be its wholly different player because Gaza bastard I as a smarter. And insists. These quarterbacks are not able to transition into the NFL so. You know I guess that goes back to brownies thought process in draft when every year you don't have to be high but his staff when every year and maybe you'll stumble upon one. All right we're gonna take a break and resume this discussion were also ready here in a moment from Pat Williams longtime bills. No Sacco and kind of play for the Minnesota Vikings and play for them vikings head coach Leslie Frazier we'll get Pat Williams on that we return. Number you would Donald Jones it's John Murphy show presented by Sunoco. We're live at one bills drive in this his Buffalo Bills revealed. Yet you had better and surrounded by really good players Hanson Bruce Smith. I guess Jeff Wright was here at BU they almost. As I think back out of that a lot of those guys sort of adopted view is is a kind of a team project in your early years on. Right here locked up Tibetan problem according Omar from. And I proudly belong to you dollar Coca Ecuador quit and bitter debate. You're great pyramid but it is different from call it what they were they about in respect my. We'll all of reprisal are or are there were bright lemon car. Now even before you went undrafted guys here you went to junior college in the in the Texas and then mini transfer to Yankee tells a little bit about. Oklahoma and Oklahoma it would be in boatload of all wrapped up but people. That way insert gas longtime bills defensive tackle vikings defensive tackle pat I know you get put in some pretty good roots here in buffalo and western new York and when you left to go to Minnesota in 2000. I guess it was 2005. You really wanna go get you you're not happy about the fact that you had to uproot and move out from buffalo YouTube found a home here early on did yet. Man how old my hair. Although there all you around all over America you'll come out better particularly vulnerable are other milliliter. What you at a business right car detailing business downtown buffalo you or into here. Yet there are you one down brown and they want in all support. Yeah yeah. It seems like the wind is growing you over the years it is not a. A pet com. When you get to Minnesota though your career really blossomed that's where you became a Pro Bowl performer. Three times in the Pro Bowl with the Minnesota Vikings what was it that. You know kind of let your career blossomed when you went to the vikings and for those of six years. Nobody. In our commitment are very open. And Britain are probably better. Replaces it as well members are great burg. Our bodies revealed so other indoor player barreled into the guy there you go on like the camera miracles. Goodman and replace it out of their apparent we better. Now before we get into Leslie Fraizer what are you doing now down and Louisiana you know as a retired. Former player. It's all right Amador market volatility close to home outright are girls regret it. Or verbal comment right now. And I got my phone Pluto like you'll. People are open to right now and you know whenever local and long rumored it. I got up. You say twelve years old he seeks to. Oprah well. A pet when you wound up in Minnesota I didn't realize I was looking this up today but when you've got to Minnesota. Your defense according to when you first got there was Mike Tomlin the Steelers head coach now right. And pop up Mike from. About much from a let it might. Go Butler. So you have the relationship that walk out of a coach for you. Male outlook micro light heart problem Coke. And they need a lot of nobody is it going to gaga but on the whole thing. The and good luck well Mike the approval though it's remote equipment role we walked out the way they're not open to. If you're gonna do it gaga. Did he had anything to say about the infamous. Antonio Brown faced with lies. After the game and local. Court. Well coached Tomlinson did he say anything about that. Not only about it grow promote them code code red notebook. About oh yeah then. So you're their couple years then in comes Wesley Frazier as the defense of coordinator. For the Minnesota Vikings what did you think of him early on and what kind of a coach he become for you that. Our local Florida Margot audio. In Britain are what you are hard look pretty good I've made liberal jerk would always come up from red curtain went all. Or like you. You always all reports so I'll look great like nobody's ever gone through two articles oral forward. Seems like it might be a little more low key than Mike Tomlin or some other coaches sort of is he soft spoken what you say that. Did you know be real well what might be bothered me because you're oh let me open it regularly but it your. Forget or don't but it. Now being a B and a soft spoken coats you know how does the when he comes into the room in front of the the entire defense or the entire team as a head coach how does he command the room with the so soft spoken. Yeah. My vote early and you're Dugard about a yard stop all the way of mud mud ball would go through ball. 00 god what a lot wrongful woman whom are garbage pit stop all the work. When you Wear with the vikings you played alongside that your team mate Dick Kevin Williamson you and and Kevin Williams the Williams wall. A lot of that I would think was Leslie Frazier you said you played three. Did he let you just gotta YouTube you and Kevin Williams is sort of play freeze that one of the things are opening your success there. I'd probably not. Quite by law ultimately when it particularly good combo. All right burglary obviously. But you could guard we respect or regard Bruck also report. Democracy predictably got a cultural whole roll call all. Pick up ago. A call currently. About what vinegar. What kind of a coordinated do you think he'll be here the Buffalo Bills that. I'm going to go to because government thought about them about Williams I'm are. Our argument could be Bloomberg. You still bills manner more I saw that you when you retired you consider yourself a a vikings with you still have those those spot your card for the Buffalo Bills that. I don't know Mayor Bloomberg stroke are all about loop of low below. I got done it could be a lot older you are a lot on the real rare notable were. Well it's good to hear me in detecting and we give them thank you very much offended few minutes with us here today and best of luck defects. Okay Pat Williams played here for a eight season six years after that with the vikings made two. Three Robles then second team all pro in 2007 plea for Mike Tomlin in Minnesota. And it was sixteen to hear his thoughts just talk to Tomlinson last night and yet ineptly it was fruitless that Frazier played for students. And yet he was the player that was a really good players. I've I've forgot about that I mean I remember when he came in but he blocked into the defense of my meeting room and there's Bruce Smith than that Ted Washington Phil Hanson these are serious and uphill that it's right. Come and an undrafted guy and you might. How Hawaii game I can't make this team and all these dudes and me to see MS does the same way I felt was when I got here and had the and Roscoe they had. They have me Stevie wasn't proven at the time yet but they. Have a couple of second round guys I can tall ones made from Indiana yet James hearty team party is second round so when you come in undrafted. You like me Aniston's second round and they're not gonna cut him for me you know those are things ankle through your head and you just at the fights that scratch and claw every single day. It seems like doesn't he did and he made a team that made itself a very long career out of it. You know it's interesting when nom. When pat mentioned how those guys and I guess I kind of Letterman do got to talking about a of those veterans. Adopted him took him under his wing and we get it there's a lot of talk especially lately around here about team culture. That's to be a big part of team cultures so here's an undrafted rookie free agent Pat Williams comes in from Texas a and M long shot big guy great guy with a great attitude. And is teammates his veteran teammates identifying him as is a guy they'd like to help you know Ted Washington says. And picking intent work. Very close as I recall but they all kind of identified Pat Williams is like a team project lets me help this guy stay in the league make the roster become a let a better player. That to me is the essence of a team chemistry in nineteen cultured. My problem here the honest truth I mean I had the same thing with the end and Roscoe those guys helped out as much as they and it's it's tough to do that because. You know when your veteran you're up there and age you know that they're always looking for got to replace every single year every single day they're looking for somebody to replace you some money as a lot cheaper than you you know so. While Margaret teaches guy everything about this league everything about this position when I know he's here to take my spot you know but it at the end of the day it's a team game. And you're only as strong news. The last person on the on the roster you know and and if you come in undrafted and I got makes a team won now I gotta teach him so that if I get injured this team doesn't lag off because. You know he he doesn't know he's supposed to be doing out there I think it's yeah I remember my last year here Chris Hogan was here. And he Gatti was undrafted he had really stuck anywhere yet and now. I remember teach him here tell you this you know every day you know and I talked a moment when I talk to other people that know him mutual friends. Like to go lakers hold incidentally your. One of the biggest reasons why he still in this league is because everything would have talked about what he's supposed to be doing. I'm in meetings what he's supposed to be doing on the field and just like that that's waited to run routes for him at that time I was I was sick I was on my way out the door probably gonna retire some plants I don't know what it was judges. Thought it was best to teach him on the you know why did. And then the team culture when it's all about to break or go back with more including your thoughts on the next offensive coordinator for the Buffalo Bills what it is first priority be. Blitzer you on the telephone line you know 30 if you're. Soul free 1888552. By fifty. John Murphy show presented by Sunoco for one do thrive on overeat. John Murphy she. Jump jump Murphy Donald Jones live when it goes right to life with Pat Williams on time bills to tackle those back a couple of weeks and that. Buffalo all masters is the phils should never let him go ever. People love that Williams. Colin bit new tweets in great run stuffing defense of tech defense. Really took a step back after he left no question about that and that was Tom Donahoe and lied don't know didn't come. I didn't think he. There was an value there to fight for entry to. Lose it was a horrible. Yeah I mean again he was surrounded by good players in the in Minnesota and obviously some good coaches when you talk about. Yet countless creatures called up that way from. Donnie in Charlotte hello Donna go ahead and here. Page on my first time caller of the oil it's gonna reduce your work I just wonder stated Pat Williams whose biggest blunder of the Lara. In the perfect fit RT current and Schobel. And there's no count how many I'm back. So we'll put a cord out and you're not a coincidence that when you love go to. Dornin depressed because it is in the lead parent as they're not so I'll hang up the western and thanks probably work earlier in the show but. Q thanks so pat broke into the league in what is it 2000. Five I guess just throughout the bio and a so he was probably. While in six or seven years into his NFL career when he went to Minnesota and yet it was a loss and dialing all classic. Over achiever Pat Williams undrafted. I don't he barely played in his rookie year but they as a we talk about the took him under their wing that veterans on the team he got. Pretty good coaching your became a really important player but that buffalo defense which was really solid there for a couple of years back in the Pat Williams. When I mean. It happens all the time you know these guys come into the the drafted undrafted and not really playing playing well in their first team. And then whatever for whatever reason sister coaches. For whatever reason it is is not. Not learning the game quickly. And now leave in their third fourth this season goes somewhere else and they get into a perfect system. And now have the perfect compliment accident you know and and perfect compliment on the other side of them and they just blossom into another player you know and this is seems like he was. Very good here and before they even let him go. You know sometimes GMs and coaches news. It missile players. We see an image that their view receded free agency somewhere and somebody please and they see you know there a global. You know all pro type guy and I'm sure those guys. They hate when that happened as a GM but. You know as decisions that Japanese. Yes tough I mean that's that the essence of that job really general managers. Projecting talent who's going to be houses I gonna develop what's he gonna be in a couple years and you know. I guess you know actors what six and it's eight years with the bills six with Minnesota sore after eight years with the bills in which he probably played that weighs probably played. Six and a half of those years I guess you could have thought he doesn't meaning that we don't want achieve some big money but that was wrong clearly that was wrong. And then when they let him go he probably got there and he was like all right this is my last chance. And he has the motivation because he had just being let go. And that's what really drove that you know he. It could be system they could just be that chip on his showed because they let me go I can't believe they let me go they'd made my family move now I'm gonna show on. That they should know let me go this year taxing businesses here I mean it was all right that's a lot and Coleman has his family was in school I mean it's tough when you have to move your family in their school and everything you let me know and I am actually planned well did you know also. Once he got the Minnesota I'm sure it was that's a woman showed it just took him moments out. We're gonna break we're gonna go back and Steve tasker is standing by to join us the NFL on CBS broadcaster the hall of Famer for the Buffalo Bills on time special teams ace. Steve testers gotta sit with us for the next hour or so when. We'll continue to take your ball above your thoughts on the priorities for the bill's new offensive coordinator what's his name we don't know that will be. And the NFL weekend. It's these thoughts on via divisional round playoff games as well. The stick around more on the John Murphy show presented by no go from one bills drive Buffalo Bills reduce.
