Peace he's not John Murphy show. Afternoon welcome to another week go to John Murphy show presented by no go full week Monday through Friday here. Twelve noon to 3 PM John Murphy with my paper co host. Donald Jones a join us in studio for the next several hours without every weekend absolutely you know it was OK really disappointed in the game in answer to why it was. Not at all mean I didn't expect these to blow it out of I would have thought that. It spur. What they did in New England a better game even Green Bay but I mean agree they had so many injuries and their defense I knew wasn't that good so much I knew that when it was gonna score points out thought. The Packers have been able to score a little bit more than make it a little bit more of a game but man it was just a terrible terrible every week in the game and Ellen it was this point could you cut your only your daughter two games now. At least in the previous two weekend ahead four games you know over the weekend we had just two games yesterday you wait all day Saturday. The game show up on Sunday neither one of them was much fun to wires you know and when you think about it. You know when you get to this point this season obviously the season is coming to a man who won't be anymore full fallen through. You know on through with this summer time and going to the fossils like you wanna see some good games and the teams that were playing. You would have thought. Would have been playing very good gains in either thought that they were I. Good teams good match ups and it is didn't come out that way you know Pittsburgh I don't know what happened to Pittsburgh last night. And why they couldn't get a call once they shut down really Antonio Brown I think they're younger they're young receivers is really the state is too big form in a game they drop a lot of passes than it was in the east you can't beat the patriots when you're beating yourself. You know I also thought the patriots. Early on early on like for series let everybody know that you're gonna have to deal with this in and that was that. The up tempo fast paced offense went in the it was like 45 plays per scoring drive. I mean what the game wasn't over at that point but he did to my mind it was like okay. Patriots are ready to go in Pittsburgh I don't know if you're up to the challenge here you any of either match points or find a way to shut down in the narrative. The patriots are one of those teams and we're talking about this last week and the week before when you talk about. Making teams play to your temple making teams. You know do what you want him to do that's how the patriots play a lot of teams when they come out. They're trying to feel each other out the first series at two you know just honesty with the defense is gonna do the pages come out and it's not score. Bet you know and it's and they do that they score of 45. Plays in the next thing you know. The score in the rest of the game is nothing you can do to stop them and if you do stop him it. At what they're doing very good they'll go to something else that's just the way that they play you have to play their game and if you give if you get sucked in a plane their debut in doubles. But very apparent that Chris Hogan was was a big part of their offensive game plan a guy who really didn't affect our whole lot during the course of the season. And credit to Chris Hogan and credit for the patriots were going his way when maybe you know the Steelers didn't anticipate that. At least we know that you know they always have one guy featured in the office is always going to be one guy features it's always going to be the guy who they feel is the best matchup you know and and dornin today game they know this it was gonna take away element in the gonna try to take away the running game. And possibly try to slow them marks I was spending does he know they might go to their attendance. And so they have other guys that can make plays and grizzled and as one of those guys and you could see it right out the bad they kept going to you know he was the featured guy I would almost I'm not gonna guarantee but in the Super Bowl. He's not gonna have the same gain because the falcons again this day we need to take away Chris Hogan and they need to see out of an am and no one of those guys get off in on NASA's they have so many weapons they can do that well. That's the air seeking the NFC game the earlier game yesterday that wasn't much of a game either in. I like it right at the outset I have to confess I had not seen a lot of the Atlanta Falcons this year but very impressive in their 4421 victory over Green Bay. Obviously Matt Ryan is very impressive and and it's kind of a no name defense for the falcons but they made big plays and and you know the Packers obviously running on fumes right was. He enters the they were I mean they were. Definitely running on fumes already knows who was out that he he caught some passes well I didn't I didn't even expect in the play he came out because some balls what. The rest of the guys and and they had so many injuries they're often the lines started you know guys are getting hurt and author of the line it was is nothing they can do what that falcons team. You know and as the defense and what the offense it there was I mean they were so depleted at DB. And the falcons are so good on offense that you can see it every single played near wide receivers were wide open everything you'll see definitely you'll see guys. To come wide open. Almost every play like that and that's how it was yesterday and then to see Matt Ryan taken office or it's those houses like there's nothing you can do in house games over second consecutive week where Green Bay quarterback who dares Gunter was exposed and it was almost difficult to watch gently Julio jones' that's. Really what's tough to watch as you know the matchup problem there they kept going to it and and you can't you I sit and thing and you got to help mild Green Bay but they help. How the hell am I mean there was no way that they can. The Julio Jones is a man like he did it and plan amounts. More grown man but he was Clinton's plan like he's playing amongst boys you know in the he's so big and so physical any attacks the ball is nothing you can do you can do with that especially if it's not a planned one on one. It's hard to play him when you bracket in Hamlet 101 months aren't you not one company he's one of the best in the league top to. And what do we make of Matt Ryan down again a guy that I I will confess I have not seen a whole lot of recently anyway in the last couple years I think he is that jumped up into the yeah I'll say it only level quarterbacks in the league I think he's right up there with the best in the league. Yeah I mean there's there's a lot of people that have said that he. He was the boss you know there's people that have been saying that because he hasn't been able to take their team now they were and what the NFC championship went back 2012 or something like America and the 49ers came back and beat him to get out to a lead early in the Georgia Dome. The 49ers came back and beat them and then you know they had and being good over the last couple years a lot of people had me calling Matt Ryan a plus but the year that he's had this year probably gonna be. The NFL MVP. And when you see him out there I mean. He is placing the ball right where you can even drop my that's where he he is so good right now. And his receivers this horse playing so good form he has Libya in the top five and gain I mean. At the very least tops in top seven but I think I'm outside botnet. So we got a lot talk about today including the the championship game yesterday and the upcoming Super Bowl in the upcoming super woes really the focus of our. Twitter Paul you can weigh in on the telephone at 8030550. Told free from outside buffalo 1888550. To 550 or by Twitter a Twitter poll. Super Bowl 51 will be their next week I'll be by reports on the show for it from the Super Bowl next week. What do you expect for the Super Bowl matchup this year so far almost 400 votes are in. 49% of you say you're looking for a high scoring shootout who would argue with that right. 32% say you expect the falcons a surprise you can interpret than anywhere you want they win do they just. Keep it close 70%. Abuse say same old thing patriots dominate. And 2% this makes sense sales during defense of that. I hope it's a high score ensure that we needed after the yeah boring nature of both of yesterday's gains the most play out in so far. 32%. And out and surprised that will be skewed because metres and yes yet info at a spectacle like opening hole but are told that they sobriety yeah. Give us a call let us know today what you expect from the Super Bowl what did you think yesterday's gains in 030515. The number 2031888550. 2550 or by Twitter I would expect a a high scoring game and Alan I would hope that it's a close game right. And I'll blow up right and we had enough super will blow outs the last elect but I would expect it will be a high scoring game maybe it back and forth. As I said I need to dig in and know more about the Atlanta defense that feel fairly cut rule with the personnel via patriots have a widget to me just laden openings on the defense that are playing at a currently high level will talk about that game as the afternoon rolls along. Talk about the bills to win here's the lineup for today Donald and tiger to take your phone calls but at 1230 bottom of the sour. We will hear from Mike Tolbert remember that name. Former bills' wide receivers coach was not your coach Wright left hander earned yet before you guys before me yet I Tolbert and it's 1230 what's gonna talk about. He's gonna talk about Rick Dennison bill's new offensive coordinator nameless Friday October worked with preakness in the last couple years in Denver and he remains on tight remains on Denver's staff as a wide receivers coach so tight coal Tolbert gonna join us at 1230 today that. Give us a little bit more insight into what sort of an offense to expect right we've spent it's a last Friday trying to guess what to expect from written estimate will get a a little more concrete example of what an offense he likes of Ron. Yeah I think it is to make sense he should know what this guy likes to run I mean. Even though Kubiak was calling the plays out there in Denver you still because he worked with them you would think that he would know exactly what he likes to you know the player that he lied through his style of offense so it's gonna be interesting. To talk to him and pick his brain a little bit. So that's coming up it to 12:31 o'clock break hang on from Bleacher Report read covered the NFC championship game. Yesterday in Atlanta will get his thoughts on them the Green Bay Atlanta game ray Gagnon from Bleacher Report he's been on the show before. And coming up at 2 o'clock John creek our body from the Toronto sun. He covered the AFC championship game. In Foxborough last night John crippled join us at 2 o'clock the at a recap that game and obviously we will focus on the Super Bowl. Speaking of the Super Bowl I'll be there next week Donald next Tuesday through a Friday will be filing reports will be reporting live from. Radio wrote to us what you go you one and I'm on the Internet and if you'll be back here now what I mean what what you and your head. You don't want to get Japanese and I'm gonna do great to know we're as together as a redundant. Notably and I've been personally vendors suitable in. Gotta be ten years on the particle backtrack on Hampshire it's bigger and which are not going to gain. Well no I'm gonna get out of town before that in a total admin and a lot of people do you people do so that's next week this week. Arming Chris Brown is a standing by he adds that on a Mobile, Alabama this week to cover the Senior Bowl force and live Chris browns live reports from mobile. And the scene you'll starting tomorrow on the show tomorrow through Friday and bills and senator Chris Brown from. Buffalo Bills that come join us from the Senior Bowl we look forward to that its first time in four years. I've not been the Senior Bowl we're all the scouts all the personnel people. And many of the coaching staffs will be there. A from the bills and teams all over we talked with Phil savage last week about some of the great prospects and be there at the seemed like you knew cement yet they've restaurant there's a couple of places I like but. Now it's time for here it's it's bad for Chris ago switch it up a little bit yet I'm not a lot more and it's it's a great escape from winter weather to get down to a Mobile, Alabama. Chris plant that starting next week I got suitable following week and you although reports hold them before you do the job that all right we'll take your phone calls it 03. All 550 toll free 1888550. To 550 or via Twitter at Jabber B show what do you expect. From the Super Bowl what type of game would you expect what did you think of yesterday's games. And what about the bills moves any thoughts on that 8030550. Tool free 1888. By fifty to fight fifty a couple of tweets and this option Tim checked tweets and can't go against evil empire but I will be rooting against them with every breath I have. Go bills kinetic convict tweets and I believe it'll be a high scoring game but after this past decade it's hard to see the pats lose even though I hope they will. I think goes to a tweet that was two tweets and a summer ice the way yeah most bills followers feel about going and there's an air of inevitability about manners again right. If it means eat right on the opening drive of the game yesterday afternoon the first series down the field let them hear you Rico there you go to end up ratings are rated at. The controlled temple ready Brady fine. He's receivers who whoever they are this week turned out to via huge game for Chris Hogan. But yet there is an air of inevitability like we've seen this before they write it's. Like you said we've seen it before I've seen it first and on silence have been on the field with these guys. And have also been there you know and I know how hard these guys work to do to this point so. It's kind of like you expect that you expect to see them at least every year and AFC championship game. You expect to see them find their matchup and it split the matchup because they have so many weapons year after year after year he noticed his comment how they played. I was actually talking to. I was talking to a couple different people yes and a couple of people who were Pittsburgh fans a couple of people who were. Who are Green Bay fans in everybody's like I guess I gotta root for Ireland and now. You know and is that. That's how it is if you don't like the patriots I mean if you if you are not a fan of the patriots. You really don't like him you'll root for any team that they're playing because at the people are just seen them win you know tirelessly and Brady and I would say in the Super Bowl or posts in the Lombardo trophy people atop of the you know Soviets did in not rooting for them and roof of the falcons. But man I just don't know what to expect from this game I I hope personally. That this game starts out at defense about it. And then in the second half these people start to score points and it ends up being like that Clemson Alabama game if you remember the first half their games like nothing's really happening. And then in the second half third quarter fourth quarter it's there and it's a great game I would like to see a game like that and both of these teams have that ability enhance quick strike ability. They have both good defenses and Atlanta's defense hadn't been talked about as a strong point that team but do you watch in the last two games and they have done very well against. The two teams that they've played against Russell Wilson and against Aaron Rodgers so I would think that maybe date they're gonna come out ready to play against the patriots and hopefully you know it's a good game. I hope it's a good game. And I hope the patriots lose and you know we're we're here in buffalo with the patriots. Kind of you know on top of the division upper deck in an app and it's been an amazing decade and it happened. You don't have to like the patriots to acknowledge. They've done in the time treaty your you know the Oprah there. Fifth Super Bowl title with a Brady at the controls over the second Super Bowl title in three years. Ninth appearance in the Super Bowl with the titles. In 2000 toward that 200220042005. And when he fifteen. I mean Brady and Belichick and the patriots have been Dominic. And again you don't have to like to acknowledge that it's it's maddening and in many respects but that. It's I mean that that that combination has been impossibly tough to beat for everybody not just the AFC east. For the bills they have the bad luck the misfortune to be in their division. I think Ozal a little way anyway maybe a long way but little way toward explaining Buffalo's record of playoff futility seventeen straight years without playoff spot because. Every year. The bills have been trying to get a wildcard spot you know the division title is essentially been closed off by Brady Belichick and the patriots for a decade and a half. That makes it tough so instead of two possible routes to the playoffs you've got one wildcard and who bully me the bills have done their part to. To us grew that I am in good for a decadent and put them. It's just it's maddening. And no end in sight. I mean who would of anticipated. That Brady missing the first four games the patriots haven't played the first four games without him would be in the position they're in right now going to the super. Bullock and knowing the environment how much longer doesn't have deduced you know that's the question he's he's he does not look like. He slacken off like he does not look like. You know his arm is getting weaker like he looks like he's getting stronger up you know also how much longer does he have to play at this level I don't know. He's playing as well as he ever has really yet to miss any only got in the twelve regular season games and oh by the way they went three and one. In those first four games without him they were set up well for his return but. He took it to a new level he he obviously did what he doesn't change the equation for that team when he returned. Mean look at the difference between the two buffalo games are won when the bills went up there in and shut up to Kobe percent of patrons and in the game. October 30 here in Orchard Park where Brady took controlled that one fairly early so. A remarkable hall of fame quarterback who's whose string shows no. End in sight and you don't have to like them but you do have to acknowledge. That they aren't the champions or at least on the way to work contending for another championship pretty amazing team and an amazing tournament turned this into a Tom Brady so but if he wins this is he is he already the best ever. And hesitate is suitable to make investment. And if you went it he'd have more Super Bowl wins and anybody hum so that's hard to ignore for years decades I've considered Joseph Montana the you know the best all time quarterback with some others. Obviously in in contention. But yet if you win your fifth Super Bowl on the Wednesday and that if you have. Record of success over fifteen years plus sixteen years now for. Tom Brady yet I would think he he might be the best ever and certainly a win this this coming Super Bowl. To my mind would make him the best. Wouldn't I would think so you know I are ready look at him as probably. The best ever you know it is what he's done regardless I mean for Super Bowls right now. So you can argue that how many times he's been to the AFC championship. How many times he's won the division you know just look at the stats that he's putting them every single year. Oh by the way he doesn't always have a Julio Jones on the field you know he's he's had Gradkowski says they drafted him but even before that like he was out there playing with guys that we're like later in their careers and and he was just make this stuff out of nothing you know so you have to look at him as. Probably the best ever and if he was this when I think it has now gotten. I would think so let's talk with you about the Super Bowl 08030515. And number 1231888552. By fifty or on Twitter. What do you expect from super bull 51 that's our Twitter poll that would like to talk about what you'd like to talk about is out there to industrial but if your tool free 1888. By fifty to 550. Bills news here from one bills right not my job a couple of announcement came Friday after we got to the air Kyle Williams name the probable again. In place of Miami Dolphins defensive tackle Ndamukong to fifth time and probably enter that he's earned Ruble honors. Named to the Pro Bowl in 2010. 20122013. And fourteen and now 2016. Al Williams joins Bruce Smith and for its losses the only bills. Defense of linemen to head of five rubles fifteen game for now it's here 56. Eleven quarterback hits eleven tackles for a loss. Pro or coming up this Sunday January 29. And it'll be on ESPN from Orlando Florida Kyle Williams going back to the probable with a figure well deserved honor and you know it's interesting that he yum. I'm not sure whether he's back right of the Davis. I don't think anybody's talked about it and nobody thought. You know. When you ask him he doesn't really give you definitive answer I think right now he really. Does not think he wants to evaluate everything that's going on right now as well you know and and I would be the same way you know you got to evaluate. What's happening right now you know they they had they have a new coach or staff right now what's gonna happen with our quarterback situation. You get up to that point age is not about money you know he's made a lot of money is through he wants to win. And if he does it feel like he did that done in years now you have to still. Both ended daily grind of working out in the spring you know trying to get ready for training camp that you have to go through training camp and all that stuff getting through the season putting your body through that every single year and have in the same result. It wears on guys you know when you wanna win so you feel Ford guy like that hopefully he does them myself so. How Williams going to the Pro Bowl there may be others to from the bills now that we know with a Super Bowl teams aren't the players taken on the Pro Bowl. By the Super Bowl appearance for the patriots so keep an eye out for that if any of the bills went a plane in Orlando this week. And got a from a player standpoint though that be like if you're a buffalo bill and you get the call this week or even Friday from cowboy and you direct that she's in January 1 hopefully you've taken some. Some time off and maybe Yemen just you know told Leo badge but taken some time off I get the call late today say hey come on down to Orlando this week. I mean I guess it's as exciting for me if you if you get back on as is his fifth one. Ready to play you're not ready to play as you better be ready to play the probable. Probably probably enough to fit it you have to go to practice and do all welcomes you know it's all going to be mental stuff you're gonna gimme game. And we are especially the line in my they really do anything right the lime him it is they're not really resting hard it is to sack the quarterback is like an unwritten rule that the thing you know so. I don't think you really have to be ready to play in shape to be for this game you know now you look at him fifth Pro Bowl. Is he still underrated. I don't order we call talent generator right you can call for ovals by approval I mean you're talking about five rubles guys like that and a you know colon and like all things and things like that wallop me pressure here and how under rated and you'd be right. A couple of other notes from Friday a couple of injuries post season surgeries announced by the bit bill Sammy Watkins a second surgery and is. Injured foot occurred late last week doctor Robert Anderson did the surgery. I think we all anticipated that checkbox and underwent arthroscopic knee surgery. Projected to be cleared to participate in all offseason activities so just little neat clean up so that project series. And we all knew about the the foot for a Sammy Watkins an offensive line assistant coach now Andrew d.s. Named as the bills assistant offensive line coach to back up one can't steal his second stint with the bills came to the bills during the 2012 season. And spent the next three seasons with San Diego 2013. Through 2015. He was on the staff when you were there any any impressions I mean you know. Time enough items and thought homeless and you know as well our receivers. Optimists like little ones and will lead to do with the lime and or their coaches and you know you and your answer exactly that. And dirtiest comes on his assistant offensive like that so. What does that leave as far as openings on the bill staff about the major openings quarterbacks still open wide receiver still open on the offensive side of the ball. And defense of backfield. For the bills defense everything else is either. Filled are getting killed and that's about all the news we have we anticipate more a coaching staff hiring will be announced this week. That's where the bills where every few 8030550. Toll free 1888550. To 550. Start with Donna buffalo go ahead Don welcome here on the air. All of us at instrument called her. And certainly not all of those of the urgency and Kamal what the whole recruited him about it seems well we didn't. And Kim domestic can look into global. And what to scrawl get a word for us have been there done besides Chris in this week. During the Marshawn Lynch you know all of but don't count are almost double money your group went to your solution to me you know you their summertime blues public rooms and others admire this man. William. And assumed debt ridden carpets or do we let it. Political most of it wouldn't. Well let's talk about Hogan's case Hogan was you know they they they put via franchise that put it tender on him tender offer. And patriots swooped him up by paying him fifteen million dollars over three years four million a year the bill's focus was on offensive lineman routine cut you know and according planned and they felt like they could. Risk losing Chris Hogan they did and there was Chris organ which is good for him com. Woody have helped in buffalo this year cherries he's a good quality player I don't think he's his seat in a great game yesterday I don't think his season was so much different than the season. That the Europe over the bills had a couple couple hundred a thing like 200 dollars more than what he did here he's not you know I can look at Chris over this today. Man this kid's one of the best receivers in the game. He knows how to do that decade of the way I mean it comes down to money at the end of the day this is a business you know when you've got to pay certain guys and and you end up letting other guys go because you can't everybody. And what sort of mind. Oh. It Hogan now he's not he's not a premiere player in this league I think he fits well into their system and you'll see him have a big game like he did yesterday because. They find matchups you know that's what the patriots do you know so you see a guy go often is like who was this do you buy seed number nineteen I don't even know his name. Number ninety for the goal often a Super Bowl and the like who was this do but because there at the defense is trying to take away the rest of their weapons this guy gets open and Tom Brady finds them every single time you know so he's not one of the best receivers in this league but to see him having a good game. Because he's he's a good receiver. Thanks that picture call let's go to Joan buffalo I Joseph welcome. Hello Joey there. Argo Margaret take a break we come back we're gonna talk about the bills' offense and what that might look like. Mike Tolbert coached receivers here for 45 years and has since gone on to coach around the league including the Denver Broncos we worked with for deficit that those who often subordinated. Mike Tolbert gonna join us next on the show John Murphy show. Presented by no go from one to drive in this is Buffalo Bills treaty. Welcome back itself. John Murphy show and I'm here along side our broadcast partner Donald Jones the fields last Friday filling out some of their coaching staff by any Rick Dennison to the roster is the offensive coordinator. Joining us on the subway fresh steak from a guy who worked with Rick Dennison the last couple years in the Denver bronco. Happy to have. Broncos wide receivers coach Mike Tolbert on the lab this type hello welcome to the show. Oh we lost connection so defective tucked over. What happened there down. I actually do scatter and an alert for him he has union. And Brian Clark the former Satan for the Steelers. Said that. What was. Antonio Brown do it was worst than what don't go back ended by going to. We still talking about that I'm just a Dick head they're as an alert you know and is like is it really because of the basement labs. I mean he. I don't know Antonio Brown didn't have a horrible game yesterday and now they have any impact on the game opens nor did the bulk of the jets right. October now on the line with a tight area there. I'd like John Murphy here along with the former bills receiver Donald Jones. Thank you for joining us with figured out that you and Donald dismissed each other game in 2010 and you left here after the twelfth 2009 season. Unified vision as a bit of justice system here. Well we're happy to heavier six years with the Buffalo Bills part of Europe fifteen now seasons in the NFL some pretty good years under my Clark in deterrent you must feel. Alec this was an important part of your career type movement you move truly. Yeah Delaware over a very important part of my plus the forum now you know what they're secure they're what was my longest. Ever have once thought until this year this this must succeed in them are going to let services and so they're very clear as possible but we're here. But I wouldn't go that haven't buffalo. And now my youngest. Daughter was born about smaller numbers so particular thought or Coleman. My my oldest was in my and so we moved there are so there are on the reserve buffalo. And you head Lee Evans who's a former teammate and battled through sometimes when we think about the great receivers in bills history. We might pass over Lee Evans but he was almost at the peak of his career when you had Amir was Maytag. You hear this we will avert atmosphere very sparse secretly looked world that's of their rare combination. Of release the really good hands you a lot of people. You know so the rule I have to ask. It is good and some time with erratic pitcher will not aspire. We had that rare birds appear roots with the pants so. Liu was pretty good under under me when older a year ago they're so old also that Leo come across some coaching. He he did everything so like after listening you know elected in. He wasn't the guy you see me like that flashes cats or even might celebrate anything like that when he when he caught touchdown passes by. He was a guy that caught it consistently MIT says it was fast and you have to vent when I'm when I'm America. Yeah nearly two I enjoy it constantly particularly in Britain share a whole lot to do this job colored. The guy had not the mayor Thomas built here a whole lot just goes gaga and composer by example. I told our guest former bills' receivers coach now receivers coach for the Denver Broncos stain on his Vance Joseph. Takes over the Denver Broncos tight and you have the last two years. To work with Gary Kubiak and Rick Dennis and Dennis and of course now. Coming to buffalo in the musical chairs game that is coaching moves in the NFL what can you tell us about Rick Dennison what did you learn about him. In the two years you worked with him. Well that they're saying and you're removed referred to Richard Rico that Olympic men's real clone ritual. But the big nobody Rico it will be extremely organized. You're gonna have a plan should not only protect the weak but to attract Thursday. I mean there's certain things as president and go and everything every or every single very. And and also the staff officers staff or have their obligations. You know typical serial north to contribute to the game plan. And up they'll have that and it also feels ball there you know the West Coast but the law that in no diploma is saying it was you know England coast there's also has forever. Under Kubiak and I am. And so Jupiter organize and be very because you know ways to install and so players you know but it was whispered about them. And who have a lot of on this show based on the student also the position and that the play itself so. Before then you can afford to Rico will be you prepare organized spirit at all. And and his staff will be as well. All right now first question I have is Rico republic like if I happen if their rifles and a better this and I'm. Yeah I think it I think appear that those that are so it in the coaching. Community. About the fans personally compare Michael and but in the house and communal and though he's not a Rico also coming politics or to say although Rick until. You know ethical and and language. It's like. I want you know we've read about him an average about a minute it every day kind of an background I believe in engineering right do you see that in. In how he you know construct what he does more than offense and how he approaches the job. Well I I think you know. It whatsoever and as and remember grounded. Was a college president that recent press club which is open you know. The coast so it took a look very. Academic educated type of background and any easy it was Smart gal that's sort of the opposite philosophies and let them. You know since he and coach and so. And you'll pay a bigger pay about. Richter as well as the fact that you'll only implement what it offensively. But he also takes suggestions from other cultures you know be note nobody you know competitive game that cold beer battered stills and everybody go whatever so. When you have. Sort of feel a certain place that you wanna the thing planned for the B third now you're redstone whatever Connecticut makes sense. To look at a to the game plan and so. He he works really well the culture that there. That type. When you look at the author instead you guys ran out in Denver especially under Peyton Manning. Was that offense like tailored around what he can and couldn't do older and or later in his career was at the offense that close like the room. Well you mean as far as what would be allowed only two sounds. You mean with the death in men aren't all that what will pay great offers rare look at it before. You're Koubek and recoup their fear was off sensed it was more milieu where so you're not off the the formation the terminology is the route. You know. We have a lot of stuff that we had our professors or read a lot of no huddle. We're allowed a temple I think and we have got a shot meaning deep balls all those protests well it was double move America I think that's just took up you're also. No we would think because we know the destruction here's what little you sleep because of via the quick lesson we would have. But I will have some shots plays golf that. And mass effect but it was thirteen you know we're certain numerous NFL records a banner year we squabble will force in team history and it felt. We are quote took to ports through 2000 that you're it was not a that's a record here. We have five guys looking toward thirteen scored ten more trust which record of the arc break. Don't think any time so we had a lot of plays a lot of play makers and a lot of things with its. Would quote unquote too many golfers were defector would be if those are things that some grass some regrets secures. And those years. But also with its actions shots. You know. People wouldn't be in pursuit triggers them over the long which you know if that sort order. When you're timing. Peyton is a master of having throat which receivers. You know it worked out force. From I would tight Tobler Denver Broncos wide receivers coach who worked the last couple years with the bill's new offensive coordinator Rick Dennison. It's like that the West Coast offense obviously been around for you know twenty plus years now how what is like. The 21 century version of the West Coast offense under Rick Dennison what does that look like now what are some of the principles as it's still like. What Bill Walsh instituted twenty some years ago when temperatures are. Well. Our music that would under their system would go expletive but actually went coast will be bigger here at my first. Introduction to political upper and I've been a part of until the end. And put a lot of understand Morton gathered to basic principles are still saying. You know you always page all went to a brought so what is it like earlier based on. Yeah. It helped that Ricoh we'll get some astute with the coaches thought certain things like that kind of thing. That kind of portal quote shy away from traditional West Coast offense but but. By and large the Wessels offenses that still the same Stuart Little bone. You'll Clark Ericsson also inside and outside world with regard for. And social quick passes and you have some some other palm quick passes you know. But there are no. Hasn't said the steps who put her through step by step and file which you majored in. Copeland in terms such as well but not think. In order earlier mylar I think the West Coast offense is still the thing picked on. What I've been told. Like when you when you look at the West Coast offense is there. Is there a certain type of quarterback that coats likes to have running the West Coast offense or does it not really matter. Are open to rim out I think what I think it matters. Who can be efficient and run an offense that nothing like a fair bit the base of its support local classical style of offense. But it's something and to walk forward with the the bootleg off covered. What some here a couple corporate involve certain Apple's been familiar with that cannot open to those type of things and I think it's. You know you know. I think the coaches the kind of fit the school into the players that they report to bury you people are so fast food Hispanic can't do. You know however that you will go to those things and and and they'll do some things off for those things that they do well so such a ridiculous and all ballots what does former actually what is you know. Play call you back citizens with certificates that are renowned intricate people corals a quick count or heart somewhere in the Joker freeze. So those kind of things. You know I think you'll see you recruit do a bit of that a couple of both Oprah offer. It's like. You're two years with Gary Kubiak and Rick Dennison how did they split up the duties that Kubiak with his background as a quarterback in the league and and a long time play caller did it he handled it still would Dennison is offensive coordinator or that he leave Dennison alone to do his office. Given their collaboration I think you know obviously. Through cougar cougar is not as a guy you know inflate the division coast position. Not a group that was school system he knows my diploma and as well as recruit so I think you'll have a collaboration of everything. And the during the week you know. That we all have a parcel with its help with the game plan and here and there was a big part affecting things offensively. Connecticut you know we'll wait and it's such a reaction to them do their deal but wait out superior experience here Leno is very little in buffalo. In he did a good governor before so analytic grid here in the weight but offered to pick your compared it headers. And put into their office. Most coaches did it would probably don't coastal reactor and and Rick Jamison and Greg Knapp had the most influence although we're going. Internal log on offense know what sprint plan out of office duties from the although that's a position. It take you must be excited stayed on with the Broncos you know a new coaching staff in some respects with Vance Joseph cumin and and and a fresh start for team that is just a year removed from the Super Bowl or championship got to feel pretty good about what you've done. There were certain about it they offensively I'm. We employ as well let's have played the last two years. Disposal. Before but I am forwarded the wanting alert from coast Kubiak. Here's this task hope you especially last year so bull run will replace complementary football would have to look score. Port Orchard and whatever is our beat botulinum one relief that you or your last year so Rupert really good cop murder of football and and you know we score we had to we ran the ball more rest he has more collective sense of order elect felt. Whom spoke but it could've collapsed under Costanza to summon them you won't affect what we used to when Payton was here want to go up tempo. You know and I know on Milan and and ended being. You know up a really good. Offense again and enforcement sports we can and he toes but the defense do they need to do when you're discordant plus and so. I know the guy hasn't been there before going Republica are to be good or. For those who bigger here to American human or we told America electorate out there so it looked. Type we're actually ran out of time but you know I just when that she's since you guys beat this too I mean beat the patriots to be go onto the Super Bowl last year. What did you guys have to do on offense. Two of them going to the super will be chemical. I think problem. What we did mostly was. We'll go we'll look at the matchup that we have you know woo blue beer holder to pull all our receivers. I have the mayor Rahm. Emanuel Sanders so we'd like them too much of a polka and put them up very maximize their picture plays got so bad. Are fighting in Owen Daniel here is that turned out they would force flexed and Al Watan and he made some reporter drew meant him Ankara on her lap record they accuse. It was spread them out this thing than we are excellent ball. Well as well he would would be willing to fight last year got Ramiro yeah wants him and then rigorously than and they accuse him to gain and both of those. Or will run the ball and I'll have you know some taxes. The ball in chopped self go to manual summit BP but also in its intention game or in Daniel's court to coast now we are tightening quite a bit. Mr. Lambert like that matchup. And random man out there in space so. A reporter a finger maybe. Amanda kept it looked certain maybe try to go some place America. It's up to offer this is the producer of their rhetoric beautiful rhetoric coached well as you know Belichick and and as your broker citing him before watched. A coach thanks for this it's great to hear from a visit when he we appreciate you are coming on. Shedding some light on what we can expect from Rick Dennison really preaches. Absolutely and I wish you got that look it would record about sort and a great guy great family man. You gotta love him there he's uses no nonsense smoke real smoke real to have dozens. And I think you've gotten what respect and appreciate that about it. Great good to hear thanks coach coach type Colbert he's the Broncos receiving coach going into his fifteenth year in the National Football League as an assistant coach. Six of those years you were the Buffalo Bills he worked the last two years with those new offense border Rick Dennison. And gives little insight into what to expect coach Tolbert joins us on the subway fresh state hotline subway eve right back with more including your phone calls when we return. John Murphy show presented by no go from one bills drive a Buffalo Bills treaty. With more of that John Murphy she. Welcome back to the show John Murphy and Donald Jones talking about the Super Bowl teams wanna hear you fault lines open. 8030550. Or toll free 1888550. To 550. That's a topic of our Twitter poll which is up right now you're welcome to join us here what do you expect. For the Super Bowl matchup this year with the falcons and patriots our Twitter poll almost 600 votes at 52% do you more than half say love to see a high scoring shoot out expect the CI score and shoot out. 49% say you expect the Fed up as a surprise whatever that means 17% say he expects him patriots dominate. And 2% only 2% say you're looking for a low scoring. Defense of that it was a call you know three or five if you work toll free 1888552. By fifty. I learned a little bit about our new offensive coordinator here Daldry deficit from talk and it I Tolbert a minute ago. There are disciplined organized a plan to protect the weak but also it sounds you know. Pretty much I don't know sentenced known as a rightward but Dennison is an advocate of the West Coast offense in October talked a lot about that and in what he was looking for a the zone blocking scheme in the run game our play action passing game. Quick passes three step drop five step drop. And immediately I don't know what you I guess you'd you would to restart the project now that looks on the efforts and we have including the quarterback what you think. I mean you have to you know we've talked about the West Coast offense we talked about what Tyrod Taylor has been able to do well. And what he doesn't do well you know run in the West Coast offense you have to be able to throw the ball on time into windows you have to be able to throw wide receivers open. You cannot rely on the receivers always make the play it has to be accurate has to be on time. And it's not always a moving pocket you know so these are things that tyrants I was gonna be in this offense that he's gonna have to work on that type also did say that you know. Rico as he called them right and Ricoh will do things that the quarterback can do well. You know and and that's what they try to do last year but he still has to improve upon things that he can't do well. Or at this passing game has not been in for. And it's pretty intriguing is to wonder we don't know to wonder you know what the discussions are right now with Rick Dennison and and John McDermott head coach and the offensive coaching staff that simply so far. As soon Tyrod Taylor's future and there's been a lot of linkage to the one year that Dennis and spent with Tyrod 2014 in Baltimore but. I don't know that that's that I don't know if that's even a factor you know he units backed up there though he's in the quarterback room he's in the back up but he's the back of the Baltimore. Rick Dennison would you would think no Tyrod Taylor very well his strengths and his weaknesses in whether he's type quarterback they wanna move forward with. Army's BC which means we don't have that answer. He also talked about when they ran that offense with Peyton Manning yeah Owen and it was all about timing miss them talking about the West Coast offense is really all about timing you have to be on time you cannot hold the ball and try to round rely on your legs because. You know you can get out of different presses. You gotta get the ball out there on time three step five step some play action service that stuff. The Tyrod Taylor doesn't improve his timing. He can't be the quarterback in the West Coast off the sequel scenario plays out. Gonna break we're gonna come back we're gonna talk about the NFC. Championship game with the read Kenya sorry again and again it treatment right. The persistent. Greg getting you can't read my writing like that I gave to I've been. That you still had to do to reach an overhead every right. Reg game can't get a job as a Bleacher Report when we return John Murphy Dow Jones.
